Duck Lake Days a Hit

Duck Lake days was held on June 11 and 12th. Everyone was a little concerned about the weather but after the cold wind on Friday night the sun came out Saturday and it turned out to be a nice day. The storm rolled in on Saturday night but it couldn't dampen everyone's spirits. Candles even came out to keep the party going after the power went out.

The six ball teams battled it out with Jason Gauthier's team winning in the final game against Cole Kaiser's team. The organizers would like to thank everyone for coming and everyone thanks the organizers for once again doing a fine job. The barbecue was great and the steak and corn on the cob for supper were delicious.

If you attended this year, you know how much fun it is and if you didn't then you don't know what you're missing.

First Day of Hussar Daze Sloppy

Everyone awoke on Saturday to a sloppy wet morning. Unfortunately the events on Saturday had to be canceled but that didn't stop the slowpitch tounament from continuing. There was a lot of slipping and sliding and trying to catch the ball was reminiscent of a greased pig contest but everyone had a lot of fun and the spectators got a few chuckles as well.

Everyone is hoping for a drier Sunday for the continuation of the ball tournament and the PCB Bull Riding and Bull Fighting. Come on and check it out. It looks like it's going to be a sunny day.
